Harry cleaned off some tables, gently moving the decorative scarecrows, leaves, and pumpkins to one side and back again. He enjoyed autumn's cooler weather, but the mist that surrounded the cafe this late at night brought a chill to his spine.
"Night got you spooked?" teased Pansy.
"Nah, just a little cold."
"Well, why don't you make a warm Pumpkin Chai Latte and take five minutes?" she said.
"Okay." Halfway through making his drink, a customer entered. Black beady eyes and stringy black hair -- Harry's attention was riveted. "Who's the bloke?"
"Don't know." She eyed Harry shrewdly. "Why don't you make two of those and go find out?"
He took the drinks over to the stranger. "On the house," he said, brushing fingertips along the man's wrist.
Dark eyes caught his, hinting at darker pleasures. "Thanks are in order, then."
"W-would you like anything else on the house?" Harry blurted out, not realising what he'd offered.
The man smirked. "Perhaps a bit of fascinating company."
Blushing, but with determination, Harry sat and shared a drink, cinnamon wafting in an earthy seduction around them.
Warmed by Snape's presence, Harry didn't even notice the misty chill as Pansy shooed them out later.
